The Florida Parental Rights in Education bill would prohibit classroom instruction relating to sexual orientation or gender identity for students in kindergarten through third grade.

The Florida bill and similar proposals in other states are targeting the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGDP) community, according to a statement from the sportscaster.

Many of her colleagues planned to walk out on Friday.

Our allyship is going to take a front seat because of the gravity of the legislation and how it is affecting so many families.

We are going to pause in solidarity and observe a moment of silence.

The Guardian reported that Disney employees planned to walk off the job last week and this week to protest the measure.

Disney CEO Bob Chapek said he and other Disney executives called Florida governor Ron DeSantis earlier this month to express their disappointment and concern that if the legislation becomes law, it could be used to unfairly target gay, lesbian, non-binary, and trans kids and families.

During the company's annual shareholder meeting, he announced that Disney would donate $5 million to LGBTQ groups.

The bill was passed by the state legislature. The bill is expected to be signed by the governor.

He said that DeSantis was very open to hearing him out after agreeing to a follow-up conversation.

Dennis Baxley, the Republican state senator who spearheaded the bill, said it is intended to restore authority to parents who are better equipped.

During a press conference last month, a reporter used the title "Don't Say Gay" to refer to the candidate.

Does it say that in the bill? Does it say that in the bill? I'm asking you to tell me what's in the bill because you're pushing false narratives, he said.

The reporter asked if the bill prohibits classroom instruction on gender identity and sexual orientation. Grades pre-K through 3. Five-year-olds, six-year-olds, seven-year-olds. People don't trust people like you because they think you wouldn't be honest about that.

He told Fox News in February that some discussions are for having with your parents. This isn't teaching and your awareness should pop up right away.

One day after Disney was rebuked, the company was called out for its stance on the Parental Rights in Education bill and ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

In a video obtained by Fox News, Ron DeSantis told his supporters that Florida's policies must be based on the best interest of the state's citizens.

There is a chance that he will change his position on prohibiting the instruction of trans genderism in kindergarten classrooms.

He said that parents of young kids don't want companies that make a fortune off being family friendly injected into their children's education.

Disney is going to criticize parents because they don't want trans people in kindergarten. They don't say a word about the brutal practices that you see over there, because they make a lot of money doing that.
