Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he's 'ready for negotiations' with Putin, but warns of a 'third World War' if peace talks fail

According to CNN, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that peace talks with Russia would mean a third World War.

Zelenskyy said that he has been ready to talk with Putin for some time, and that an agreement was critical in ending the violence brought on by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

He said he was ready for negotiations. We cannot end this war without negotiations.

He said that we have to use any format in order to have a chance of talking to Putin. This is a third World War if these attempts fail.

Zelenskyy has called for more concrete talks as the Russian invasion of Ukraine approaches four weeks.

Zelenskyy made a similar plea on Saturday.

The time has come to restore territorial integrity and justice. It will take several generations to recover from Russia's losses.

Zelenskyy said last week that his priorities for the talks were the end of the war, security guarantees, sovereignty, restoration of territorial integrity, and real guarantees for our country.

The leader of the Ukrainians said that the two sides must come together to stop the conflict.

According to the United Nations migration agency, the conflict has caused the displacement of over 6 million people.
