Reports say that Russia is transporting dead and wounded soldiers to Belarus to make it look like there are more casualties in Ukraine.

Eyewitnesses told RadioFreeEurope that the hospital in the area is flooded with wounded Russian troops.

One witness told the outlet that he had seen black sacks being loaded onto Russian railway cars.

The number of corpses being loaded on the train shocked the passengers at the station.

The images and videos shared by the outlet appear to show mobile hospitals and military ambulances that could be used to treat and transport Russian troops.

A hospital employee in Homel told RFE/RL that more than 2,500 corpses had been shipped back to Russia by train or plane as of March 13. Insider couldn't independently verify this figure.

The death toll of the troops from the Kremlin is difficult to confirm, as they have been elusive about how many of them have been killed.

On March 2, Russia acknowledged that nearly 500 soldiers had been killed.

According to The New York Times, the US intelligence estimates that around 7,000 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine.

RFE/RL said that doctors and local residents claimed that hospitals in the cities of Homel and Mazyr were overflowing with wounded Russian soldiers.

Several Homel residents told RFE/RL that officials began discharging patients from the hospital in March to make room for Russian troops.

There are so many wounded Russians there. It was badly damaged. One resident who was treated in the Homel hospital told the outlet that it was impossible to listen to their moans.

A doctor at the main city hospital told RFE/RL that the site was guarded by police and security agencies and that doctors were threatened with firing if they spoke about the situation.

The doctor said that all of the physicians at the hospital were tasked with treating wounded Russian soldiers.

Anti-tetanus drugs are often used to treat soldiers who have been wounded in the line of duty.

Alexander Lukashenko, the President of the former Soviet Republic of Belarus, defended Putin on Saturday.
