Big Blue Nation has been forgetting about March Madness. The Kentucky men were upset by St. Peter's in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday.

The Kentucky women won their second SEC tournament title and first since 1982 by beating the South Carolina Gamecocks on March 6. Rhyne Howard was expected to make an NCAA tournament run for the Wildcats, who entered March Madness on a 10-game winning streak.

The winning streak was moved to 18 games by the 11 seed. The only time a No. 16 seed has beaten a No. 1 in the women's NCAA tournament was in 1998 when Harvard defeated the Tigers.

The women's NCAA tournament games are underway. Play a tournament.

The Ivy League didn't have sports last season because of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Was this the biggest win in the history of women in the area?

The seed we had and beating a Kentucky team, the SEC champion, is definitely up there.

It was a challenging time when the Ivy League decided not to play. We were all watching the NCAA tournament. It was difficult. We were able to stay connected and still play the game that we love. The players have so much joy.

Kentucky was shocked that the season was over. Kentucky was 9-11 in the first few months of the season. The Wildcats appeared to turn things around completely on Saturday.

Kentucky is the first school to have both its men's and women's teams lose in the first round of the NCAA tournament in the same year.

Howard, a two-time SEC player of the year, finished with 17 points and eight rebound but was just 4-of-14 from the field. Junior Dreuna Edwards had 16 points and 12 rebound in the SEC title game.

It was just one of those days, according to the man.

Howard said that they have played better teams and come out on top.

I think SEC is the top conference in women's basketball, so that's all I have to say.

Maybe, but that did not matter in the final score for Kentucky. Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky and Ole Miss all lost in the first round. LSU was pushed to the limit by Jackson State before winning. South Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee advanced.

3 seed Indiana in the second round.

"We like to say that this wasn't an upset in our minds, and we were ready," said the senior, who scored 29 points. Being a mid-major Ivy League team was going to be underestimated. We are going to set our sights on Indiana, prepare as best we can and be ready to shock the world again.

The program has lost in the first round of the NCAA tournament four times. In the last three years, the Cats have lost in the second round to Iowa, NC State and Ohio State. They did not play in the tournament.

Howard is expected to be one of the top two picks in the draft. She said she was not thinking about that on Saturday.

Howard said that he knew it would come quickly. I have done everything over the past four years.
