All of the proceeds from the first two weeks of the new season of the game will be donated to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. All real-money purchases in the game will be included in the action from March 20th through April 3rd. V-bucks will not be included as they are not real-money purchases. Retail gift card purchases will be included if they are redeemed during the two-week window.
Microsoft will donate their net proceeds from the game to aid the people of Ukraine during this time. In the coming weeks, the developer says it will add more supported organizations.

We will be sending funds to these organizations quickly as we can. We are not waiting for the actual funds to come in from our platform and payment partners, which can take a while depending on how the transaction was processed. We will log the transactions and send the funds to the relief organizations within a few days.
As a result of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, other gaming-related efforts have raised millions of dollars for humanitarian relief. A bundle of games on Itch.io raised more than $6 million, and a Ukraine-focused bundle has already surpassed $9 million.
The new season of the game starts later today, and follows a dramatic event that started a new chapter last December.
