  • The rowdy crowd at the Indian Wells Masters clashed with Nick Kyrgios.

  • Ben Stiller, who was in the crowd, was pulled into an argument by the Australian.

  • While pointing to Stiller, the fan was angrily asked, "Do I tell him how to act?"

The crowd at the Indian Wells Masters in California is well known for its rude fans, so much so that the Williams sisters boycotted the tournament for years.

The Australian star was the subject of abuse from the crowd during his match against Nadal.

A fan in the front row behind the baseline began to insult the player after he served for the match at two games all in the third and final set.

It is not clear what the fan said, but the fan was told to relax by the man.

Are you playing? Are you good at tennis? Exactly, why are you speaking?

Ben Stiller was sitting with his family in another part of the crowd. The fan asked if he should tell him how to act. No.

Stiller, famous for his roles in movies like Zoolander and Meet the Parents, could be seen smiling after the angry remark from Kyrgios.

The 21-time Grand Slam winner defeated the 19-time Grand Slam winner in straight sets. Nadal has won 19 consecutive matches since the beginning of the year.

After the match, the player defended his comments to the fan, saying in his press conference that he wanted people to know that he was a spectator. You bought tickets to see us play. Don't scream before first and second serve.

When you are a spectator, and you are watching professionals play tennis, you should be quiet. Don't tell me how to play. You couldn't win a point against Nadal. You can sit and watch me play tennis. That is it. Period.

The incident can't be compared to Naomi Osaka earlier in the tournament, according to Nick. During her second-round loss to Veronika Kudermetova, Osaka was shouted at by a heckling fan.

After his loss to Nadal, a frustrated Nick Kyrgios smashed his racket to the ground, almost hitting a ball kid in the process.

The ball kid at the end of the match was an accident, and I want to apologize to him.

My racket took a crazy bounce and was never my intention.
