When Malary stopped responding to them on March 9, her family and friends sought answers.

Malary was reported missing two days later. Malary's body was positively identified by authorities on Saturday afternoon after a woman was seen in the water at Garden Park on the Lake Michigan shoreline.

Malary was recovered from the water and taken to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
