According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Los Angeles Rams have traded Robert Woods to the TennesseeTitans.
The Rams will get a sixth-round pick in exchange for the receiver.
The first report that the Titans had real interest in Woods was from Michael Fabiano.
The Rams had a surplus at receiver after signing Allen Robinson. The team hopes to re-sign Beckham Jr., according to the report.
The wideout is expected to recover in time for training camp, which is when Woods became a prime trade candidate.
After just nine games, Woods had 45 catches for 556 yards and four touchdown.
It was the end of a three-year run of over 85 catches for Woods, which averaged 1,096 receiving yards per season. During his five seasons in Los Angeles, the 29-year-old has averaged 5.4 catches per game.
This could be exactly what the team needed after releasing a veteran.
Tennessee had a clear No. 1 option in A.J. Brown, but depth was a question mark with Marcus Johnson and Chester Rogers currently unsigned. The only other receiver besides Brown who had more than 100 receiving yards was Nick Westbrook-Ikhine.
Woods gives the team with a proven option who can take pressure off Brown and bring more balance to the offense.
Tennessee hopes this addition will help the team get closer to a Super Bowl title.
