The Buffalo Bills quarterback room is getting a new look.

According to a league source, the Bills agreed to trade Josh Allen, the only quarterback under contract, to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for one of Buffalo's two seventh-round picks. The Bills have eight picks left in the draft.

Multiple sources told ESPN that the Bills are trying to re-sign quarterback Matt Barkley. He was previously in Buffalo. He spent time in Tennessee, Carolina, and Atlanta.

Brandon Beane, the Bills general manager, said Friday that he has some things in the works for the backup quarterback spot. It is an important position. I think we will find the right fit.

During his time with the Bills, he played in eight regular season games and started one. He completed 54.6% of his passes. A post was made to his social media on Friday evening.

After two years as a backup, Keenum will join the Bills. The two will be together again, this time with former Minnesota Vikings teammate Stefon Diggs. They connected on the Minneapolis Miracle to defeat the New Orleans Saints in the playoffs. The two games in which he started were for the Browns. He completed 65.3% of his passes in the two wins.

It's important for the Bills to have a backup quarterback on the roster that can start games. Allen has not missed a start since his first season, but his playing style that involves rushing and scrambling makes him prone to take on more hits.

The only time I get on Josh is when he takes unnecessary hits.

Former Bills backup quarterbackMitch Trubisky signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, while practice squad quarterback Davis Webb signed with the New York Giants.

It is important for the Bills to make sure Allen is comfortable with any additions made to the quarterback room.

The trade with Cleveland was reported by the NFL Network.
