After spending most of the last two months at the Burlington County Animal Shelter, a big hound dog named Clifford has found a new home. The dog was found near the Exit 6 interchange on the New Jersey Turnpike and was adopted by Lisa Yochim of Absecon. The dog was spotted running lose on the turnpike in December and caused traffic to stop on the south side. The truck that the frightened dog hid under was one of the vehicles that came to a halt. After being rescued from beneath the truck, he was turned over to the Florence Township animal control officer, who brought him to the shelter.
