A Ukrainian army medic and mother of 12 children was killed during fighting with Russian forces near Donetsk

Reports say that a mother and her army medic died fighting Russian troops.

According to the report, Semidyanova was killed by Russian troops on the border between Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia in the south of Ukraine on March 3, after being shot in the stomach.

The Ukrainian Ministry for Foreign Affairs said that Semidyanova was a medic in the Donetsk region.

She has 12 children, six were adopted, and she has been awarded the title of "mother hero", which goes to women with more than five children.

Pravada Life reported that the family is unable to recover their mother's body due to the fighting in the surrounding areas.

Anna said that they know where her mother was killed, but they don't know who to contact to bring her body home.

Paying tribute to her mother, Semidyanova's daughter wrote on social media that every year she became more beautiful and stronger in all senses. She was so strong after the birth of 6 children that she was able to raise more children of her own.

After 8 years of dedicated service in the most dangerous moments, my mother faced death on July 10, 1973, not abandoning her family, facing the enemy, fighting to the last gave her life.

The Ukrainian government has hailed Semidyanova as a hero.

She emphasized her desire to protect the country until the end even when she thought her army might not survive. She is a national hero. An adviser to the country's Interior Ministry told the Sun that she is a hero.

Last week, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that 1,300 Ukrainian troops have been killed in the war, but the actual toll is thought to be much higher.
