North Carolina may have lost Brady Manek to an ejection in the second half, but they still beat the top-seeded Bears in overtime in the NCAA tournament.

The defending champion was down by as many as 25 points in the second half and was trying to tie the largest comeback in NCAA tournament history.

The Tar Heels missed a shot at the buzzer to allow the Bears to tie the game.

Manek was ejected from the game for elbowing Jeremy Sochan in the face while blocking out for a rebound.

Manek's 3-pointer gave the Tar Heels a 25-point lead against the defending champ with 10:49 remaining.

A referee whistled a foul on Manek as Sochan fell to the court. The ejection came after a review.

After Manek was ejected, Sochan tangled with Bacot again. Each drew a technical for excessive contact. Sochan was punished for the first and second incidents.
