The upcoming Star: Trek: Discovery spinoff titled " Strange New Worlds" just dropped their first trailer this week ahead of its premiere on Paramount Plus on May 5, 2022, but that's not the only exciting announcement for avid fans.
According to Variety, actor Paul Wesley will play a younger Captain James T. Kirk in the second season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
It is not clear at this time how this version of Kirk will fit into the series but it is certain that it will be presented as the commander of the Farragut prior to William Shatner playing him. Paul is an accomplished actor, an astonishing presence and a welcome key addition to the show, according to an official statement.
