April 26th is the launch date for the PC version of the game. The 5-on-5 mode of the sequel will go live in late April. You can block out that weekend to play matches if you mark the 26th on your calendar. In addition to 5-on-5 battles, the alpha also has four new maps, a new Push mode, and a redesign of heroes. One of those heroes is getting more than just an upgrade.
A few days ago, there was a picture of a tank in the game. The company confirmed that the character is changing roles to tank from damage hero after the image was deleted.
The role change for the hero was being tested by the company, according to the hero lead designer. The character's kit is full of crowd control effects and mobility, and that makes him difficult to tune and balance as a damage hero in the game. He will be able to keep those properties as a tank, though he will lose some damage and gain some defense points. The player's choice could be they are key to their victory in the game.
