According to a team source, David Ojabo suffered a torn Achilles during his pro day workout at the school.

Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers was able to return to play in about six months after he tore his Achilles in July. Ojabo could miss a few weeks of the regular season.

Ojabo, who had been projected as a first-round pick, needed the help of his trainers to get off the field after he suffered the injury.

Michigan teammate Aidan Hutchinson said Friday that he was in pain.

Ojabo, who is projected to be a first-round pick, finished second on the UM in sacks and tackles for loss, behind Hutchinson. Ojabo saw his draft stock rise throughout the season, and he helped the UM win the Big Ten Championship and make it to the College Football Playoff for the first time.

Ojabo was raised in Scotland. He started playing football in the United States before he arrived at Michigan.

Hutchinson said that he was praying for him and hoping that it was nothing long term or anything that would affect his draft stock.
