Ukrainian officials said a fifth Russian general was killed on Saturday.
The general staff of the Ukrainian army said that the commander of the 8th General Army of the Southern Military District of the armed forces died due to fire on the enemy.

Oleksiy Arestovych, a former presidential candidate adviser, said that the general was killed when Ukrainian forces struck an airfield near Kherson Airport.
The general's death has not been confirmed by the Kremlin.
The first major city to come under Russian control was Kherson.
The Russian base at Kherson Airport has been attacked by Ukrainian forces multiple times this week.
Russia has lost more than a dozen senior officers since it invaded Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainians, they have killed around 14,700 Russian troops. Up to 7,000 Russian soldiers have been killed according to the US.
