Google’s Android app will finally let you delete the last 15 minutes of your search history

The ability to remove the last 15 minutes of your search history is coming to the Android app. The former editor-in-chief of the XDA Developers said he was tipped off about the feature, and that the editor of the Verge spotted it on their phone. If you have a profile picture on the app, you can open it and look for the last 15 minutes.

The feature has been in the app for a while. At the I/O conference in May, it was announced that the feature was coming to theiOS app in July. The company said it would arrive on the Android version of the app later in 2021, but for some reason it didn't happen. In its May announcement post, the company didn't specify which platforms it would be available on, and in July, it only said that the feature was coming to the iPad. A request for comment was not immediately replied to.

You can use the tool to remove things from your search history that are three, 18 or 36 months old.
