Booger wouldn't be surprised if Browns win AFC North with Watson (2:16)

Booger talked about how Deshaun fits with the Cleveland Browns after being traded. There are 2 minutes left in the video.

5:09 PM ET

The Houston Texans had four superstars on their roster in August.

It has been more than two years since Clowney was traded. Clowney was the first to be traded, before the start of the season, and the last one to go to Cleveland on Friday. Before he was accused of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior in 23 civil lawsuits, he requested a trade. There were 22 active lawsuits and one was dropped.

There were criminal charges filed against him by ten women. The end of criminal proceedings in Harris County, where Houston is located, was signaled by a Texas grand jury's decision not to indict him on criminal charges.

Over the past two seasons, the Texans have won a total of eight games. In 2021, Tyrod Taylor and Davis Mills started at quarterback, but that was the last time that Watson was on the roster.

The Houston Texans traded up to 12 to get the best player in the draft, and he was expected to be the face of the franchise for the foreseeable future. The 104 passing touchdown and 14,539 passing yards that he achieved in four seasons is second in Texans franchise history to Matt Schaub's 123 touchdown and 23,221 passing yards in 90 games.

How did we get here after the Texans won the division?

Jan. 28, 2020: Texans name coach Bill O'Brien as GM

After the 2020 season without a general manager, Texans CEO and chairman Cal McNair gave his coach, Bill O'Brien, the additional title. Brian Gaine was fired by the Texans after 18 months. They tried to hire Nick Caserio from the New England Patriots, but he was not hired after the team was accused of tampering with the league.

Wilson's leadership is important.

• Cowboys need Plan B after Gregory

• NFL free-agency tracker

I thought it was important to update titles, roles and responsibilities for Bill O'Brien and Jack Easterby so they reflect the way we have been operating for the past.

O'Brien had heard that some people in New England thought he could succeed Bill Belichick. O&Brien was in a power struggle with Rick Smith, the former general manager of the Texans.

The Texans chose O'Brien over Smith, giving the coach more control over football operations.

March 16, 2020: Texans trade WR DeAndre Hopkins

O'Brien's first major move as general manager sent shock waves through the league. On the first day of free agency, the Texans traded three-time All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals for running back David Johnson and a second-round pick. The Texans received a fourth-round pick in 2021.

The Texans used the 40th overall pick on Ross Blacklock, a defensive tackle who played 23% of the defensive snaps his first season.

O'Brien said he made the move because he wanted a raise with three years left on his contract.

O'Brien said that they weren't going to be able to go in that direction.

The situation was being blown way out of proportion after Michael Irvin said on Get Up that he was traded because of bad blood between him and O'Brien.

"I wasn't expecting it," Deshaun Watson said of DeAndre Hopkins being traded to Arizona. "But like I said, that's just the way the business goes." Christopher Hanewinckel/USA TODAY Sports

After working out, he found out about the trade from his quarterbacks coach.

Did you know that Hop was traded? A video ofWatson's reaction was quickly deleted.

It was out of the blue, and I wasn't expecting it. That is the way the business goes. I have no control over that. The organization had to do what they had to do, and D-Hop had to do what he had to do.

Sept. 5, 2020: Watson signs contract extension

The Texans agreed to a four-year contract extension with quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The quarterback was emotional as he talked about how happy he was to be a part of the team.

The extension made him the second-highest-paid player in the NFL at the time.

The star quarterback was wanted to be happy by McNair, who welcomed his input and respected his opinion.

They put a lot of trust in me and what I want, and just as a whole, as an organization, where we want to go forward from here. That was all that was left. A lot of respect between me and Mr.

In his end-of-season news conference, he was asked what leadership qualities he was looking for in the next coach. The organization needs a whole culture shift.

In his introductory news conference, David Culley was asked if he knew that Watson requested a trade during his interview process and if that played a role in his decision to take the position.

During the season, Watt said his focus was on winning a Super Bowl and that he was not interested in going through a rebuild.

At the time of his statement, he said he had not seen the lawsuit.

The Texans said in a statement that the social media post was the first they had heard of the incident.

The team said in the statement that they take accusations of this nature that involve anyone within the Houston Texans organization seriously.

There were 22 lawsuits filed against him over the next month, accusing him of sexual assault and inappropriate behavior. One lawsuit was dropped after a judge ruled that the lawsuits couldn't be filed under the name Jane Doe and that the people who filed them had to have their names attached.
