The campaign organization for former President Donald Trump was recently ordered to hand over more than $350,000 in legal fees and expenses after attempting to enforce a nondisclosure agreement against an ex-staffer.

The ex-staffer tried to file a lawsuit against Trump, but the campaign was unable tovoke a legally unsound nondisclosure agreement. The former president was accused of trying to forcibly kiss her and of making claims of pay discrimination.

The March 10 order requiring the Trump campaign to pay was made public this week.

The former president has often used the process of binding an issue into an agreement to keep it out of the public eye, rather than allowing it to go to court and risk public hearings and documents. Many staffers were told to sign non-disclosure agreements that barred them from saying anything negative about Trump or his businesses.

In two previous cases involving ex-staffers and the NDAs, a judge and an arbitrator concluded that key sections of the agreement were too vague and ill-defined to be constitutionally enforceable. The campaign's complaint against Johnson was dismissed because the previous rulings were persuasive enough.

As the winning party, her lawyers requested that the Trump campaign pay their legal bills. Team Trump was ordered to pay over $300,000 and the costs of the case, which was over $50,000, by the arbitrator. You can read more at this website.
