A source told Field Yates and Jeremy Fowler on Friday that the Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to a one-year, $10.75 million deal with JuJu Smith-Schuster.
The moves give Patrick Mahomes another weapon on the offense along with Pro Bowlers Kelce and Hill.
The Chiefs, who lost Watkins in free agency last year, didn't have a receiving threat other than Kelce and Hill.
Smith-Schuster will join a receiving corps that includes Josh Gordon and Mecole Hardman. Last season, Hardman had career highs in catches and yards. Gordon was re-signed by the Chiefs after he produced little in 12 games with them.
The Chicago Bears signed the third-leading wide receiver on the Kansas City Chiefs.
After hitting free agency, Smith-Schuster decided to return to the Steelers on a one-year deal. Smith-Schuster's season didn't go as planned.
He injured his shoulder against the Broncos in Week 5 and missed the rest of the season. He scored a rushing touchdown in five games and finished the season with 15 catches for 129 yards.
Smith-Schuster had surgery on his shoulder in October but came back for the playoffs and had five catches for 26 yards.
The former second-round pick amassed 3,855 yards and 26 touchdown in five seasons with the Steelers.
He had his best season in the last one, when he finished with a career-best totals of over 100 catches and over 1,300 yards to go along with seven touchdown catches.
