Changes to the Xbox Insider builds may make it more difficult to share your captures to social media. According to Windows Central, Insider builds have removed the option to post a video or screenshot directly to the social network, instead directing you to share it from your phone.

Sharing Xbox captures from your phone isn't new, but I find it to be a smooth experience. If you choose the option to share a capture on your Xbox, you should get a notification on your phone telling you where to save and post it.

You might have to tweet clips from your phone instead

With the change that removes the ability to share from your Xbox, posting from your phone becomes the only option. It may not be ideal if you have your phone in another room while you play a game. Microsoft did not reply to the request for comment.

If the feature is removed from Microsoft's consoles, it will be a downside to using them, since Nintendo and Sony allow you to post directly from the Switch and PS5. Nintendo and Sony have added features to make it easier to share clips from your phone, perhaps recognizing that many people prefer to post things to their phone anyway.
