Russia was banned from competing in the World Cup play-offs by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Russian national teams were not allowed to compete in February after the invasion of Ukraine.

Russia wanted to play until the court heard the full appeal, but no date has been set.

They were going to play Poland in March.

Poland had previously said they would boycott the play-off game.

The Poles will play either Sweden or the Czech Republic in the final on March 29th.

All Russian teams and clubs have been suspended from participation in the world's largest sporting competition.

The proceedings continue. There is no hearing yet.

The ban on Russian teams taking part in Uefa's competitions for the duration of its proceedings was upheld by Cas.
