One of the biggest games of the year so far, Gran Turismo 7, is back online after a 30-hour outage. A broken update resulted in longer than expected server maintenance, leaving players frustrated at the limited offline mode in Gran Turismo 7.
Polyphony Digital took more than 24 hours to provide an update on the problems after the maintenance extension, which lasted for 30 hours. Polyphony Digital apologized and the game is back online with a new and functional update.
Polyphony Digital discovered an issue where the game wouldn't start properly on some versions of the PS4 and PS5 after the 1.07 update was released.
The rewards system for some events was adjusted by the problematic update. It's harder to save up in-game currency for the top cars, and the game is more of a grind for players.

I want to make GT7 a game in which you can enjoy a variety of cars lots of different ways, and if possible would like to try to avoid a situation where a player must mechanically replay certain events over and over again.
Yamauchi says he can't explain what the future changes to Gran Turismo 7 will be.
