Everton v Newcastle: Arrest after protester ties himself to goalpost

A man was arrested after a protester tied himself to a goal post and delayed the game.

The second half of the game at Goodison Park was stopped for about eight minutes due to an incident.

The man in the T-shirt was taken away by the police before the game could start.

A man was arrested on suspicion of pitch encroachment.

A 39-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault and pitch encroachment.

Alex Iwobi scored in the 99th minute to give Everton a huge victory in their fight against the drop.

It led to celebrations at Goodison Park as they earned their second win in 13 games to put three points between them and the bottom of the table.
