The wide receiver room at the Los Angeles Rams is crowded after the reported signing of Allen Robinson II.
The Rams could look to create some space by moving wideout Robert Woods, who is considered a prime trade candidate, in the wake of Robinson joining the team.
Woods is expected to be ready for training camp after his 2021 season was cut short by an injury. The Rams have been getting calls from other teams inquiring about his availability.
In nine games last season, Woods had 45 catches for 556 yards and four scores. He was signed by the Rams to fill a void after he suffered an injury. Los Angeles won the Super Bowl, their first title since 1999.
Woods began his career with the Buffalo Bills. His career grew after he joined the Rams. He put together back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
Los Angeles signed Woods to a four-year contract extension. He will make a base salary of $10 million this season.
It will be interesting to see how the trade market develops. Woods is the most coveted receiver on the trading block, after the Green Bay Packers reportedly dealt star wideout Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday. This year's class is full of receiver prospects, so teams could choose to build through the draft instead of trading away assets.
