TikTok is continuing to experiment with stories, with the feature being rolled out to a larger group of users today. If you get the feature, you will be greeted with a new banner when you launch the app.

TikTok stated in a statement that they are expanding a pilot test that will allow creators to bring their ideas to life for the TikTok community.

TikTok's standard feature allows you to add a video or photo to a story with the same editing tools, effects, filters, and sounds. Stories won't show up on your profile or feed and disappear after 24 hours, unlike a regular TikTok video.

It lacks the scrolling bar of stories from accounts you follow to tap through, and is missing a major feature.

The only way to see a TikTok story is to see a blue-circled profile picture on a video you are watching. You will launch into the story feed when you tap it. You can see the same blue circle on a user's profile if you tap on it, and you can also see the story if you tap on it.

It seems like a formal roll out of the feature to the entire TikTok user base is not a question of if, but when.
