Allen Robinson, Rams Agree to Reported 3-Year, $46.5M Contract in NFL Free Agency

The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a three-year, $46.5 million contract with free-agent wide receiver Allen Robinson II.

Robinson, who is 29 years old in August, caught 38 passes for 410 yards and one touchdown in 12 games for the Chicago Bears last year.

Robinson sat the next three games with a hamstring injury. He was out for two more games after testing positive for a banned substance. He told reporters he lost 10 pounds.

The eight-year veteran played for the Bears in the last two games.

Robinson was selected with the 61st pick in the draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. In his second season, he caught 80 passes for 1,400 yards and 14 touchdown.

He had a season-ending injury in Week 1 of the year. The free agent signed a three-year, $42 million contract with the Bears after the campaign ended.

Robinson played the year out on a one-year contract after Chicago placed a franchise tag on him.

When healthy, he presents a big target. Despite being saddled with poor and inconsistent quarterbacks, he has been a legit No. 1 wide receiver.

During his four years with the Bears, he had seven starting quarterbacks, with Mitchell Trubisky taking the bulk of the snaps.

Robinson's 2021 campaign was disappointing even if the Bears had a quarterback situation that was not settled until the end of the season.

He looks to rebound from an off-year and regain some of his past magic as he looks for a change of scenery.
