State news agency Tass reports that a Russian court has extended the imprisonment of US basketball star Brittney Griner for another two months.
The woman was held in Moscow after customs officials found cannabis oil in her luggage.
It has a maximum 10-year jail sentence.
Clinton called for her release after she re-posted an article about the player.
The Moscow court kept her in custody on Thursday.
The court granted the request of the investigation and extended the period of detaining the US citizen until May 19, according to Tass.

During the US league's off-season, Ms Griner went to Russia to play.
In one of the last public appearances of her, the player is seen walking through security at a Moscow airport with a suitcase.
A star centre for the Phoenix Mercury team, she had landed at the Sheremetyevo airport to play in a Russian league.
She has not been known about her circumstances a month after she was taken into custody.
A member of the Public Monitoring Commission, a semi-official body with access to Russian prisons, told the Russian news agency that Ms Griner was sharing a cell with two other women with no previous convictions.
She said that the prison beds were too short for the tall woman.
The US State Department says it is doing everything it can to help the player who was arrested.
