Stacey Abrams makes surprise appearance on Star Trek as president of Earth

No Georgia gubernatorial candidate has gone where she has gone before.

In the latest episode of Star Trek: Discovery, the Georgia politician who is running for governor of the state, appeared as the president of United Earth.

A scene at the end of the season four finale introduces the United Earth president, who is introduced by a number of lines, announcing that they are ready to rejoin the Federation.

In an interview with The New York Times, she admitted that she was a huge fan of the Star Trek franchise and that she kept up with Discovery late in her campaign. In her book, Lead From the Outside, she talks about a scene from The Next Generation.

According to Variety, he spent a few days in Toronto for the scene. Martin-Green told Deadline she was honored to be a part of the show and she still floored about the role of the civil hero.

There was no one better for the role than Abrams, according to the executive producer.

Paradise said that there was no one better to be that president because she was a fan of the show. It was a privilege for us to work with her, and we are so grateful she joined us.
