A video doorbell can be helpful, and we reviewed a lot of them. When a delivery arrives, they can let you know, but they can't guarantee that your package will still be there when you get home. Eufy has a dual video doorbell that adds a second camera to give you a clear look at visitors.

Anyone who has package anxiety will be alleviated by the split-screen view. It's refreshing to find a camera with on-device artificial intelligence and local storage, so you don't have to worry about uploading videos to the cloud.

More deliveries have been sparked by the growth of online shopping. According to a Finder survey, 14 percent of Americans have fallen victim to package theft in the past year, and the value is estimated at $5.4 billion.

The Eufy Video Doorbell has a secondary downward-facing camera that will cover your porch and reduce the risk of porch pirates making off with your Amazon purchases. Many video doorbells promise to identify package delivery but don't show where people usually leave them. The Logitech Circle View has a slight fish-eye effect and a blind spot directly below. The view of my front porch has been offered before.

I can see if my cat is waiting to get in with a split-screen view in the app. The dual has built-in package detection to alert you when packages are delivered or picked up, and it also sends reminders when packages have not been taken inside. People are challenged to loiter on your porch.

The Delivery Guard features have been hit and miss for me. I get a lot of deliveries, and most of them prompt a message. The alerts have been a little less reliable. It failed to register two packages I left out for pickup, and it misidentified a brick, cat, and stone that my daughter placed on the porch as packages.

The loitering and package-guarding features were not well designed, but I like the reminder feature, where you can set a time for the camera to check your porch and tell you to bring in any uncollected packages. You can set a range and time with loitering detection, so anyone hanging around can get a notification or an automatic voice response. When someone approaches a package on your porch, package guarding causes a voice response.

This feature confused delivery people, and it got triggered when I chatted with a visitor at the door or the kids were waiting for us to drive them somewhere. Both features were turned off.

The basics of nails.

Eufy's previous 2K Doorbell made our list of the best video doorbells by offering high-quality footage, accurate human detection, and a local storage option, which means there is no need for a subscription. The dual has all of that. The camera copes well with mixed lighting thanks to the support of high Dynamic Range, which is a must for my south-facing porch.
