The welcome bonus for the card has been improved. The 80,000 points bonus we saw last year is the same one. It has a $4,000 spending requirement and no annual fee for the first year. There are reports that the offer is back. It is not available in all branches. Let's look at the details.

My friend told me that only certain Chase branches have the offer. I don't know why but the other locations have the public offer and waive the annual fee. If you were interested in this offer, you can find a branch with the 80K offer and no annual fee.

Conclusion

The 80,000 points offer is much better than the current bonus online. The annual fee is not charged the first year. This in-branch offer is worth over $300 when compared to the online bonus.

It doesn't seem to be available in all branches, but it was reported on the internet. I checked two branches nearby and they only offered 60,000 points with the annual fee not charged for the first year. That still beats the online offer. Let us know if you get the 80K bonus.
