The Lego Back to the Future set is the most accurate brick model of the car from the film series, and it actually looks like the one in the movie.
The $169 set has 1,856 pieces, which is more than the original model, and is more detailed in almost every way. There are functional gull-wing doors, a far less blocky hood, a brand-new windshield piece that Lego created specifically for the new set to match the real car, and a light-up fluxCapacitor.
There are three different configurations of the new DeLorean set, including the original time machine from the first Back to the Future movie, a hovering version, and a lightning rod version.
If you want to put all three variations on display, you'll need to buy multiple copies of the set and rebuild it a few times.
There's also a to-scale hoverboard, a box of stolen plutonium, swappable license plates for different eras of the car, and a banana to throw in the Mr. Fusion. Marty McFly and Doc Brown minifigures are included in the set, even though the car is much bigger.
The original Lego DeLorean set was released back in 2013 for a much more affordable price. The Lego Cuusoo set is one of the first fan-designed Lego projects that was produced by the company.
The Lego Back to the Future set will be available from April 1st.
