Russ on Wolves' trash talk: 'Nobody over there has done anything' in the NBA (0:34)

No one on the Wolves has done anything in the league according to Russell. There is a time and a place.

Karl-Anthony Towns gestured to the Los Angeles Lakers bench as he waved to the crowd after the Minnesota Timberwolves had left the game.

The Wolves enjoyed handing the Lakers their third straight loss, and there was noticeable trash talking during the game.

In one particular sequence that went viral, Russell Westbrook air-balled a corner 3-pointer with 3 minutes, 58 seconds left. He looked at the path where the air ball took flight after Towns rebounded the miss.

"I honestly don't pay no mind to it, I think the other guys do too." They were not talking to me. They were talking to individual guys, but the trash talking doesn't bother me.

Nobody in this league has done anything that would make me pick my eyes up. Let me reply. It is fine. They are good. The game was won by them. Happy for them. Move onto the next one.

After Patrick Beverley forced a turnover, he could be seen plugging his nose as if to say something smelled bad, and then mouthing the word "trash" twice.

After hearing that nobody on the Wolves has done anything in this league, Beverley took to the internet to respond.

There are playoffs every year, and there are two different teams in the western conference finals. I thought it was a team sport.

When asked about the Wolves trash talking, James said it was part of the game.

The Lakers have bigger concerns than the Wolves, who have won nine of their past 10. They have lost 12 of their past 15 games, with their three losses coming by 29, 11 and 20 points.

James has looked frustrated in the past. He scored 19 points, but missed 7 of 8 3-point attempts.

While James was encouraged that the Lakers showed more fight from the start, he admitted that the losing has taken a toll on his patience.

James said that every season for him is about patience and that it is no different this year. I think it is testing my patience more than any other season in the last few years because of the way we are playing and the losses are coming at a lot.

It is testing your patience and how you can continue to keep the focus out on the floor, figure out ways how you can be better for your teammates and not fall into the notion of a losing mentality. I wouldn't ever put myself in a position where I felt like I was losing even if I lost a game.

The Lakers will not face Minnesota in the regular season. They could see each other in the play-in tournament.

When asked if he was surprised teams were talking trash to the Lakers, Lakers guard Wayne Ellington said that he had been in the league long enough to know that it was a front-running league. They will kick you when you are down.

We have been getting kicked and teams have been enjoying it. It all comes back around again.
