Happy to announce that my client Raheem Mostert has agreed to a new deal with the Miami Dolphins. Had multiple teams interested but wanted to continue working with Mike McDaniel.

Mostert will make $3.125 million.

He explained the decision to her.

RB Raheem Mostert to me on why he's going to MIA:

“Being familiar with the whole scheme, the head coach & the plan that he has for me moving forward is why I went there. He told me my role will be similar to what it was in San Francisco, but he still expects me to compete.”

The running back spent the past five years in San Francisco working with Mike McDaniel, who was hired as the Dolphins head coach. The team's run game coach for two years, before he became the offensive coach last season.

During the Niners run to Super Bowl LIV in 2020, Mostert broke out. He ran for 220 yards and four touchdown in the team's 37-20 victory over the Green Bay Packers.

During the regular season, he had a career-high After four years as a reserve, he got his first chance at extensive playing time after landing in San Francisco.

The 29-year-old posted 677 yards from scrimmage and three total touchdown in eight appearances in 2020. He was on injured reserve twice due to a high ankle injury.

His season ended with a knee injury after he played just one game.

A team that needs help in the backfield will be the one Mostert will look to bounce back in. Gaskin led the Dolphins with 612 rushing yards, but he averaged just 3.5 yards per carry and struggled with consistency.

The squad is trying to improve upon last year's 9-8 finish, and the experience with McDaniel could lead to immediate playing time.
