Batman glowers on a rooftop in The Batman.

We can expect to see The Batman at home in late April thanks to an apparent technical glitch. The DC hit will arrive on Tuesday, April 19 and Saturday, April 23 on the service providers, according to the trade.

The Batman is following the agreement for Warner Bros to make their releases available for home video consumption 45 days into their theater runs, a change from last year's day-and-date release schedule. With the buzz surrounding the film, this seemingly accidental reveal has only added to the hype for the future of the film franchise. It wasn't the work of the Riddler over at the rataalada.com website that was seen in the film's end credits. Fans have been able to play along through its riddles in order to get easter eggs from the movie, like close-ups of cryptic images and the Thomas Wayne campaign video. It would be great if it was a part of that. Imagine if the studio had left out the final edit of the Arkham cut scene. The release date glitch seems unrelated and just a technical error that occurred.

Colin Farrell is starring in the spin-off series, The Penguin. Oswald Cobblepot will be the focus of the show after the events of The Batman.

According to Deadline, The Batman is on track to break the half-billion global box office mark by the weekend.
