After years of rare movie appearances, Mike Myers is making a return to comedy in a new show. The trailer for the film that was released on Wednesday shows that it will be a type of project where Mike Myers makes up almost half the cast.

The show will start streaming on May 5th. There is a secret society called the Pentaverate. The voice-over in the trailer says that it was started by five people who were labeled as heretics after they discovered that the Black Plague was caused by fleas and rats.

The idea for the show came from a joke in a movie about a murderer. Don't worry, there are no axe murders in that scene.

This is the first big thing we have seen written by Mike Myers since 2008's The Love Guru. He has acted in a few movies since then, like Inglourious Basterds, but they aren't as good as Austin Powers movies.

Space Force with Steve Carell, Red Notice, and The Adam Project are just a few of the comedies that have been made on the service.

It feels a little bit like that time in the year of 2014, when the internet service provider ordered four Adam Sandler movies and then only had to order four more because they were so popular. I am not trying to shade this project before it comes out, but it does feel like they are following in the footsteps of getting comedy stars from comedies like The Spy Who Shagged Me and Shrek. It has to do something to keep people watching as it raises prices and considers making people pay to share passwords.

The series is being produced by The Verge.
