Chris Cuomo was fired from CNN in December and is now seeking $125 million from the network.

Mr. Cuomo's lawyer said in a legal filing on Wednesday that he was trying to get 15 million dollars from the governor.

The New York attorney general released a trove of emails and text messages that indicated Mr. Cuomo was involved in providing strategic advice to his brother.

Jeff Zucker was the president of CNN at the time. Mr. Cuomo has said that Mr. Zucker was aware of his dealings with his brother.

WarnerMedia commissioned an internal investigation into Mr. Cuomo, and it jeopardized Mr. Zucker as well. The investigation revealed that Mr. Zucker had failed to disclose a romantic relationship with Allison Gollust, the network's head of marketing and communications. CNN's news standards and practices were found to be in violation of company policies by Jeff Zucker, Allison Gollust and Chris Cuomo.

Chris Cuomo did not lie to CNN about helping his brother, according to Mr. Cuomo's lawyer.

As the limited information released from WarnerMedia's investigation shows, CNN's highest-level executives were aware of Chris' involvement in helping his brother.

A CNN spokesman wouldn't comment. Mr. Cuomo's legal filing was reported by Deadline.
