arius Smith has a new home.

Smith, one of the best pass-rushers left in free agency, signed a four-year, $35 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

The contract can be as high as $50 million.

Smith missed most of the season with a back injury. He made the Pro Bowl in each of the two seasons he was with the Packers, and had 26 sacks in two seasons with the team.

With a number of free agents, including fellow edge-rusher Preston Smith, who re-signed on a four-year, $52.5 million extension, Za'Darius Smith didn't make the cut.

That saved the Packers around $18.7 million in salary cap room.

Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said in a statement that they want to thank Za&Darius for his contributions to the Packers over the past three seasons. We wish Za and his family all the best.

Billy Turner was also cut.

The hope for Baltimore is that Za&Darius Smith can return to his previous form and that his back issues are behind him. He could be one of the steals of free agency if he returns to that level.

The Packers had doubts and put their financial backing on the edge in Smith.
