The time with the Cleveland Browns might be coming to an end.

Chris Mortensen made it clear on NFL Live on Wednesday that the Browns are looking to move on from Mayfield in order to find an "adult" at quarterback. Jimmy Garoppolo could be a possibility for Cleveland if it trades the top pick.

Interesting note from @mortreport on ESPN just now while talking Baker/Browns ("they're breaking up regardless" of Watson) -- they "want an adult at" QB.

"Jimmy Garoppolo is one I would not ignore for Cleveland."

Even if the Cleveland Browns can't acquire Deshaun Watson in a trade, quarterback Baker Mayfield will still consider other options.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the team met with the player in Houston in an attempt to convince him to waive his no-trade clause.

If a deal with the Cleveland Indians involves Deshaun Watson, the Houston Texans won't be part of the trade package.

The list of potential suitors for the man include the Cleveland, Carolina, and New Orleans Saints.

Russini reported Tuesday that the first step for the four teams was to present a trade package that the Texans would approve. All three teams met the asking price, so now it is just a matter of deciding where to play.

In the wake of the meeting between Cleveland andWatson, the player posted a message to the fans.

There were questions about the team's commitment to Mayfield before the team got in the mix forWatson. When he was eligible to sign a long-term extension, Cleveland chose not to, though it did pick up the fifth-year option on his contract.

Over the past four seasons, he has appeared in 60 games for the Cleveland. He has a 29-30 record in 59 starts and an 11-5 mark in 2020 that will help the Cleveland Browns make the playoffs.

The organization was a step back last season. He had surgery after a Week 2 win over the Texans. In 14 starts, he threw for 3,020 yards, 17 touchdown and 13 interceptions.

Cleveland finished third in the division with an 8-9 record.
