Nassib signed a three-year, $25 million contract with the Raiders in March 2020. He was a third-round pick of the Cleveland Browns.

Nassib was claimed on waivers by the Buccaneers in September. The Penn State graduate spent two years with the team.

Nassib was the first publicly out player to appear in an NFL game. He thanked the league, his coaches, teammates, friends and family for their support after he announced he was gay.

There was plenty of cap space for the Raiders to make moves. Before the start of free agency, they had the eighth-most cap space in the league.

Las Vegas has been fairly quiet thus far, with only two notable additions. On Tuesday,Phillips agreed to a one-year, $2.25 million deal, and on Wednesday, Nichols agreed to a two-year, $11 million deal.

The Raiders will have a new coaching staff. Patrick Graham was hired by Josh McDaniels. They will look to improve a defense that ranked 17th in Football Outsiders and 26th in points allowed per game.

During his time with the Raiders, Nassib has been a rotation player. He recorded 13 quarterback hits, eight tackles for loss and four sacks in 27 games over the past two seasons.
