The name of the first human to travel into space was removed from an event by a space industry conference.
In light of current world events, the Space Foundation will be changing the name of the event.
The focus of the event remains the same, to celebrate human achievements in space while inspiring the next generation to reach for the stars.
Considering that Gagarin worked for the soviets, it's a rather dubious show of solidarity with the Ukrainian people. The icing on the cake? Gagarin's monumental achievement appears to be liked by Ukraine.

It's bad enough to erase the name of the first person to ever fly to space.
It's outrageous to do so in line with the milquetoast trend of abandoning all things Russian, including famous composers and food products, amid the country's current invasion of Ukraine.
The 50th anniversary of his space flight was marked by a Ukraine stamp. The Soviets renamed the stadium back in the 1960s and it is still referred to as such by fans.
In a post published last year about Gagarin's often-overlooked relationship with Ukraine, the country noted that the cosmonaut had kind words to say about the country when he first visited in 1966.
Gagarin said what he had seen with his eyes was incomparable when he visited school children at a youth center.
If NASA hadn't made it to the Moon, it wouldn't have happened.
The United States and Russia have cooperated in space for decades, even as politics have strained that relationship.
It will not help a single Ukrainian to fend off Russia's invasion, but it serves as a reminder that fair weather activism often flies in the face of reality.
NASA says it is definitely still carpooling back to Earth on a Russian spacecraft.
