An official verified TikTok account has been launched by the social media platform.

The social media competitor shared the news with a caption that read: "We're here!" Follow along as creators help share the latest product news, best practices and tips + tricks, directly from us.

It is another social media app.

One of the purposes of TikTok is more ironic than the statement above. It appears that in order to promote the not-so-subtle TikTok look-alike, Reels: the not-so-subtle TikTok look-alike, the social media platform has procuredinfluencers and social experts to appear on their TikTok.

Two examples were posted in the last 17 hours. A video by the socialista on the TikTok account shares advice for increasing visibility on Reels, such as using trending audio and sticking to a niche subject. The coach offered tips on how to deal with a reel that doesn't perform as expected.

The account is just a day old, so this is probably just the beginning of Reel-related content. The account has just over 1,000 followers.

The rabbit hole of apps-on-apps-on-apps gets funnier with the fact that TikTok has a creator of its own. The verified account, which has 398,000 followers, has been around for a while.

There are a few thoughts.

It's either genius or confusing to use competitor apps to promote your own. It's still possible to get us to start using reels. It is possible thatInstagram knows that it is not winning the war.
