Even though the iPad Pro is larger than the Tab S8 Ultra, it is more affordable at $899.99. The iPad Pro uses mini-LED technology, and both have the same 120Hz maximum refresh rate.

Even though the Tab S8 Ultra has a notch for the front-facing camera, it is worth noting that there is no notch on the other side of the device. Apple's iPad doesn't have a notch at this time, so it's up to SAMSUNG to come up with a notch.

The best selling point of the Tab S8 Ultra is its display, and it has an edge over the iPad Pro because of light leaking from the mini-LED panel.

The front camera on the Tab S8 Ultra was put in a landscape orientation, which makes sense as it is more of a desktop-like experience. The iPad Pro has cameras positioned for use in portrait orientation, which is awkward on a larger display.

There is a built-in facial recognition system, but it is limited in scope and cannot be used for purchases or passwords. The power button has a fingerprint reader built into it.

The iPad Pro has the Apple Pencil as an input device, and the Tab S8 Ultra has the S-Pen, which is included in the box with the tablet, so it doesn't require an extra purchase. The S-Pen has more features than the Apple Pencil, with air commands in addition to standard stylus support. Both the Apple Pencil and S-Pen have the same palm rejection capabilities.

For an extra $350, you can get a keyboard with a trackpad for the Tab S8 Ultra. The keys are alright, but the trackpad is not as user-friendly as the Magic Keyboard. 45W fast charging is offered by SAMSUNG so it can charge up quicker.

The iPad Pro and the Tab S8 Ultra are both excellent tablets, but they are not the same. The iPadOS operating system could offer a better desktop experience, but it still lags behind theANDROID based tablets. The scale is off, the apps don't always work properly, and there are other issues.

DeX is a better desktop multitasking experience, but it is still not a full computer replacement like the iPad Pro. There is no real competition for the M1 chip.

The software experience and chip performance of the iPad Pro is the main factor in the decision. The same goes for Apple device users who are locked into the Apple system, as no dedicated user will want to pick up an iPad.
