Super 73, an electric mobility company popular with celebrities and YouTubers, introduced its first electric motorcycle, though it is just a concept for now. The company unveiled a host of other battery-powered vehicles, including an e-bike for kids, in a dramatic expansion of its product lineup.
The Super 73 C1X Concept has a slimmer profile than most motorcycles, with 15-inch wheels and a 31 inch seat height. The 51-inch length is shorter than other electric motorcycles, like Harley- Davidson's LiveWire and Zero. It is not as fast as a two-wheeler on the road, gas or electric, with a top speed of 75mph. It is one of the fastest vehicles to come out of the Southern California shop.
The profile of the C1X is very similar to the company's flagship RX mopeds, which have proven to be extremely popular, attracting the likes of Jack Black, and even Justin Bieber. The Super 73-R Brooklyn full suspension e-bike is one of the new models that Super 73 unveiled.
A number of funding announcements from major e-bike makers helped the company raise $20 million last year. Super 73 said at the time that it would use the funds to grow its staff, improve its customer service, and expand its product line.
The C1X was designed to be an entry level model for customers interested in applying for their motorcycle licenses because it was more agility than the rest. Super 73 said it was aiming for something accessible to its customers, who have come to appreciate the company's habits of blurring the line between bicycle and moped.
The C1X Concept will have a city range of 100 miles and will have a fast-charging solution that will allow it to reach an 80 percent charge in less than an hour. Super 73 didn't specify what type of power output this would involve.
The production is not expected to start until late 2023, but Super 73 is now accepting reservations.
