NBC Bay Area reports that part of the Apple Park campus in Cupertino was evacuated after first responders discovered an envelope with a white powder substance. There was a fire alarm andhazmat response at Apple's headquarters just after noon, according to the Santa Clara County Fire Department's incident report.

According to the publication, emergency personnel have determined that the situation is under control, and employees have been allowed to go back inside. It is not clear what the substance was.

According to an email obtained later in the day, Apple told employees at Apple Park that there was no hazardous materials. All sections of the campus are open according to the email.

Apple didn't reply to the request for comment. Apple will start a phased approach to its hybrid work pilot in April after rescheduling return-to-office plans several times.
