Pierre Zakrzewski, a veteran Fox News photographer, was killed while covering the war in Ukraine. The Fox correspondent, Benjamin Hall, and a Ukrainian journalist, Oleksandra Kurshynova, were killed when their vehicle was hit by fire outside of Kyiv. Pierre and Oleksandra were both killed in the attack, while Benjamin lost part of his leg. Pierre was a war zone photographer who covered nearly every international story for Fox News from Iraq to Afghanistan to Syria during his long tenure with us. His passion and talent as a journalist were unparalleled. Pierre had been working in Ukraine. On the same day as this, the death of filmmaker and journalist Brent Renaud was announced. He was killed during a Russian assault on Irpin, Ukraine, while working for Time magazine. Pierre was 55 years old. I am sad.
