DJ Chark Jr. is going to sign a one-year deal with the Detroit Lions, according to a source.
According to the source, the deal is worth up to $13 million.
According to a source, the Lions are re-signing defensive end Charles Harris to a two-year contract. Harris had 7.5 sacks with the Lions last season, his first with the franchise.
In four seasons with Jacksonville, Chark had 147 catches for 2,042 yards and 15 touchdown, but he has missed 13 games because of injuries, including nine in 2021.
Chark had seven catches for 154 yards and two touchdown before he was hurt. He is moving well and running.
One executive told Jeremy Fowler that Chark has what it takes to be great, but his fitness and route running aren't where they could be.
Chark made the Pro Bowl in his second season in the league, becoming just the fifth player in franchise history to surpass 1,000 yards receiving, catching 73 passes for 1,008 yards and eight touchdown.
He had 53 catches for 706 yards and five touchdown in 2020.
