Details of Emirates’ new route to Tel Aviv, Israel

As of June 23, 2022, there will be a new route between Dubai and Tel Aviv. The route will be operated daily by the airline.

Tel Aviv to Dubai is departing at 3:50PM and arriving at 6PM.

The Tel Aviv to Dubai flight is departing at 7:55PM.

The flight will cover a distance of 1,326 miles, but is blocked at 3hr10min in the west and 3hr4min in the east. The airspace of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain is now being used for flights to and fro from Israel, which will cut travel time by more than half.

The route will feature 354 seats, including eight first class seats, 42 business class seats, and 304 economy class seats.

The new route is on sale. Israel closed its borders due to the omicron variant, meaning there wouldn't be much demand for this flight. Israel's borders are mostly open, so we hope there isn't another wave in June that shuts down the country.

Overall service between the UAE & Israel

In August 2020 there was an exciting update to diplomacy in the Middle East, as we saw the restoration of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. An air service agreement allows for commercial flights. We have seen a lot of flights launched between the two countries, including on El Al and FlyDubai.

EL AL now flies to Dubai

There had been a lot of speculation about whether or not the airline would launch flights between the two countries. The airline is owned by the government of Dubai, and it operates several daily frequencies between the two airports.

There aren't many markets that are served by both FlyDubai and Emirates. Tel Aviv will be an exception. There is enough demand for more capacity to be added to the route. It doesn't look like FlyDubai will be cutting back frequencies when they enter the market.

Emirates has a kosher catering facility in Dubai

I think it's still a cool thing to highlight, given that this route is finally happening. Kosher Arabia, a dedicated kosher food production facility for the company, was announced in September 2020.

This is the first facility in the country to produce kosher food. The kosher meals were done via an outsourcing supplier. It has been brought in-house with production starting earlier this year.

For those who order kosher meals, you can expect high quality food.

The airline will be launching flights to Tel Aviv in June of 2022. Initially, the airline will operate a once daily flight. We have known for a long time that the airline intended to add this route. This is to hope that the timelines actually stick.

It's amazing to see how much new air service Israel has seen in the past 18 months, in light of improved relations with nearby countries.

What do you think about the new route to Israel?
