The PS5 brings in better graphics and higher framerates, but it also gives players a new controller, the dualsense. The successor to the dualShock 4 features a microphone, a refined touchpad, an improved battery, and more.

The latter two features can be used in different ways. The pattering of rain or a blast of energy, for example, can be experienced in a more focused and accurate way, thanks to the feedback of the fingers. The special physical functions implemented in adaptive Trigger can provide a variety of functions with different weapons, essentially giving the game features that wouldn't be possible otherwise.

In Deathloop, the adaptive Trigger of the dualsense is being used so that if a gun jams, thetrigger physically locks. In Insomniac Games' Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, you can either pull a Trigger or shoot both barrels.

In addition to using the feedback to make it feel like Ratchet is running across various surfaces, the game also uses polished metal walkways to make it feel different than moving through tall grass or slogging in mud.

Accounting for all of the different ways the PS5 can be used would start to border on impossible, so we have listed all the games confirmed to take advantage of one or both of these unique features. Here is a list of PS5 games that support dualsense.

We are unsure if some of the games below will use both adaptive and haptic feedback. We marked those games accordingly.

We will expand the table with more details and confirmed games as this list grows. As time goes on, third-party support may be more sparse, as titles from the Sony Studios are sure to use these features.

There are more advanced features on the PS5. Some PS5 games can support different types of ray-tracing. Some PS5 games even support 120 frames per second.

Next-gen gaming is here!

In our PS5 review, the editor of the games section of the website said that the dualsense was a major plus for the console and that it must be felt to understand why it is so good. Keep an eye out for PS5 restocks so you can get your hands on one.

If you want to keep your controllers charged up, you might want to grab a dualsense charging station. The more a game uses adaptive triggering and feedback features, the longer the battery will last. A controller with a healthy battery used to play Astro's Playroom will last under three hours.
