Some of the most powerful people on Earth are fighting again.

The head of Russia's space program responded with a message of his own after Musk challenged Putin to single combat.

You are weak to compete with me, it would only be a waste of time. Take my brother first.

It is a vague message for a man who has been known to make threats. You could come to a few conclusions if we put on our English major hats for a second.

The Alexander Pushkin story is about a miserly priest who hires a man he thought was unintelligent to work for him. The man gets to hit the priest three times on the head in exchange for labor.

Realizing Balda is very strong, the priest gives him seemingly impossible tasks. Balda's first job is to collect a debt from demons. The man was told by the leader of the demons that if he could beat his grandson in a race, he would get the money.

Balda was able to trick the demon into believing that a rabbit was his brother and would run in his place.

It would be a waste of time to fight Musk because he is weaker than Putin. Someone else might fight the SpaceX CEO instead of the Russian president.

Maybe he's saying Musk is Balda, and so he's calling his bluff. After all, Musk would likely have an extremely challenging fight against Putin, who is a black belt in the martial art of judo, which was stripped away in a flurry of sanctions after the Ukraine invasion. It is just clout-building bluster. The sea demon lost in the end as a result of that interpretation, so who knows?

The richest man in the world is challenging world leaders to fights. Russian officials are weighing in as well. The simulation is clearly broken.
